Re: Clinton Stands With Progressives (2.00 / 3)

Yep. and she stood with environmentalists when voting against Cheney 05 Energy Bill. (Presumptive nominee voted for it.)  and she stood with progressives when the Republicans voted to condemn MoveOn. (Obama didn't cast a vote.)

but after all, Obama has to win the election now.  of course, once he's elected, he'll have to get re-elected so don't be counting on those changes you can believe in after the coronation either!  Judgment to LEAD!!

Re: Clinton Votes Against FISA-Immunity, Stands Wi (none / 0)

And we are absolutely positive she would not have voted the other way if she were the nominee?

Falls under the heading of Apples and Oranges.

It is apples and oranges, but let us have a little moment to gloat.  We've had so few reasons in the last few months.

Listen, it's no use in trying to out-talk an Obama supporter.

Genius, we all support Obama on here.

If you thought this was a Republican site I suggest you invest in some reading glasses.

Little, I'll vote democrat down the ticket, bud!!! (none / 0)

...unless they go and beg me to vote republican the way you do. I'll love for you to tell the rest of Clinton supporters to go and vote republican. This would speed up a McCain presidency or whoever succeed him if McCain can not serve his full term.

I'm for Hillary all the way--so, I will not vote for
Mr. Obama.

As I said earlier, I hope Hillary is the nominee in the end.

As for voting republican, do not worry because the days of the extremists are numbered. You better hope Obama pulls out this centrist strategy to perfection. Welcome to the end of the two-party system. The middle of the road people will form their own party; then, we will be able to truly get to work. Now, if Obama continue to piss off you far-to-the-left liberals, I'll be happy to reconsider voting for him. Hillary probably will have her last laugh yet, if Obama runs to center. Ha, ha, ha! Oh, it seems that you've trade out a centrist who went liberal for a liberal whose going centrist.

See if you can get it down to one word next time.  If you get it down to one letter, I'll give you a cookie.

And the tally for whom the bell tolls:

Clinton (D-NY), Nay

Obama (D-IL), Yea

And this is how the continued death of liberty and our Republic is played out.  Sad indeed.

Re: (none / 0)

Why didn't Hillary or Obama filibuster?

That to me is where they both failed miserably.

Shoulda nominated Dodd, too bad America needs celebrity presidents.

Re: Ummm (none / 0)

Hillary voted against Cloture and against the bill. What part of that don't you understand. TPM got their information wrong.

Voting against cloture (none / 0)

Is not the same as filibustering.

Re: Voting against cloture (none / 0)

Um, yes it is.  Voting for cloture votes to cut off debate.  Voting against cloture votes to CONTINUE debate, er...aka fillibuster.

No, it isn't (none / 0)

here's a clue - voting against cloture takes one word.  Actually filibustering takes thousands.

And filibustering (none / 0)

ain't just voting against cloture, you know.

Do either of you understand the difference between making a vote and actually standing on the floor and talking for hours and hours?  It seems not.

Re: And filibustering (none / 0)

Yes, that is abundantly clear to us.

You seem to be the one confused.  Clinton did the right thing.  Obama did the wrong thing.

He's the one that didn't live up to his word.

You should just accept the fact that Obama is a politican and he's going to piss you off.  This won't be the first time.

Instead of trying to argue Clinton didn't do the right thing good enough, you should just meditate on this, "Obama is politics as usual."  Breathe deep and repeat the line over and over and over again.

You don't know me (none / 0)

dipshit.  I never cared much for either of them.

Meditate on this: "Learn what the fuck I'm talking about before I spout off."
